Oops! What happened here?

Just goes to show what one little mistake in your code, or an unforeseen circumstance can do to your code. The file was only a few megabytes.
Remember kids, test your apps in every possible way, and then some. And encourage feedback.
Now, any ideas on what I can do for the next 230,000 years?

Leave a commentAnkur, I’ve already seen this, and blogged about this in December ‘05 as you did (see here). Frankly, since Tiger and its built-in support for ZIP archives, I’ve put StuffIt Expander in the trash! And when I like a given piece of software, if it’s still delivered in a proprietary format (like SIT, for example), I take a couple of minutes to contact the developer and to ask for some change on this level. And this is not only because Allume Systems Division still doesn’t know how to “estimate” a realistic amount of time when unarchiving…

Wow that does seem like an eternity. lol
Have you looked at TheUnarchiver for archive files? I don’t think it does compression but is less obnoxious than stuffit.
I’m a relatively recent Windows refugee too!

Being the download junkie that I am, I’ve got The Unarchiver, BetterZip, UnRarX and also Stuffit installed. To tell you the truth, I generally just pick one at random when I need to archive / unarchive something.
